… a whole year has passed. Yet it seems like a faraway time when the first crochet blogs were being born, when only a handful of gals were timidly poking their heads in at a new crochet forum, and when a hip pattern site first went live.
I’m not sure what we expected, each of us doing our own little thing. I don’t think it was this. At least not so far so fast. But the eddies and currents of the Web brought us together and the online crochet community has blossomed exploded. Not that there weren’t crochet lists and communities before; there were. But the format of communication has clearly changed. It’s more accessible. And more crocheters are trying more new, adventurous things every day.
All that to say, today is my one-year blogiversary. Which is not terribly important in and of itself, but as a part of the whole. The whole being all of you who were there in the beginning and all of you who have come together with us since. Thank you all, dear readers, dear friends, for your encouragement, inspiration, and support. It’s been an amazing year.
