WIP Wednesday

Active Works in Progress:

  • 63 Squares CAL: 17 out of 63 squares complete
  • Small, secret crochet project.
  • Other secret crochet stuff. ;-)
  • Crochet Blogs web ring: Spring cleaning!
  • I Heart Wool fanlisting: Overdue maintenance. And a little database TLC after a major server upgrade at my web host.
  • Crochetville: Moving to our own domain, crochetville.org, yay!
  • CafePress: Crochetville store, Sheepie store

WIPs on the back burner:

  • Poor unfinished blue tee top sweater… will I ever go back to it? Motivation is low because I suspect this yarn will pill.
  • Comfy Casual Tunic. I don’t even like it anymore. It‘s on the frogging block.
  • Lace Along: I haven’t started this because I’m just not happy with the wool and silk yarns I purchased off the web. This is a special project; I want something better. Anybody know where I can get some nice lace weight merino (2 oz) and lace weight silk (2 oz) to go with my beloved mohair?
  • Make It Sacred: Lots of ideas, I just need to implement them.
  • Socks. Haven’t been satisfied with any sock that’s come off my hook. All have either been frogged or are on the frogging block. I think I’m too particular.
  • Feet Need Socks CAL: Backlog of sock photos to be uploaded to gallery.
  • Bag Along: Still hovering at about half done.
  • Stocking Together: 96% done. Lost enthusiasm after the holidays. Stocking is waiting patiently for me to do that last little bit; it knows Christmas will roll around again.

    Hi, Donna!

Do you specifically need merino and silk? KnitPicks (www.knitpicks.com) has some GREAT laceweight (KnitPicks Shimmer–70% baby alpaca, 30% silk, and KnitPicks Alpaca Cloud–100% Baby Alpaca). And their pricing is outstanding!

    Enjoy!

So… how are your time management skills?? ;)

I think you need to set aside one day for something for you, even if it’s not crochet-related! :) (see that Make it Sacred thing that’s on the back burner???)
