Two CALs

Huge thanks to Mitzi for breathing new life into the Crochetville Pillowghan CAL! She has taken over hosting it and has set up a list of members and gallery. This was the very first Crochetville crochet-along and Mitzi is giving it the love it needs! Read about it here.

Mitzi’s enthusiasm inspired me to make a button for it. :-)

Pillowghan CAL

“Why a pineapple?” you might ask. Because quite a few of the crochet-alongers are making pineapple pillowghans like the one pictured here. And the pineapple was just too darn cute. Of course, if you join the CAL, you can make any kind of pillowghan you want.

In other CAL news, I have joined the Stocking Together, hosted by Rebecca.

Stocking Together

I was sucked into this one *wink* by a new free pattern leaflet I picked up at Walmart. It was a Lion Brand Fun Fur Christmas stocking and just too cute to resist. I started last night. So far it’s easy and has gone quickly even though I’ve never used Fun Fur before. I’ll post photos tomorrow because my husband borrowed my digital camera today.

    Donna,
Wonderful blog, I am more of a knitter, just a beginner at crochet, but you have my wanting to pull out some hooks.

I also love all those buttons you have made. Can you recommend a program I can use, I am starting a knit-a-long and really want to make a button for it.

    Thanks,
    Cathy

Oh, I had no idea the Pillowghan CAL was Crochetville’s first! COOL! Thanks for the thank – you!

I’m thinking of jumping on the stocking together crochet along, too!

    Hugs,
    Mitzi

Oooh I love making Xmas stockings! I can’t wait til I am done with my Xmas gifts and it’s a bit later in the year so I can crack open my never-been-used Knit Stockings book.
