“When I looked up through the web of trees, the night fell over me, and for a moment I lost my boundaries, feeling like the sky was my own skin and the moon was my heart beating up there in the dark.”

The Secret Life of Bees, Sue Monk Kidd

I agree completely with your thoughts on the book. It is very difficult to describe but a wonderful read.

I read “The Secret Life of Bees” last summer. Did you like it?

I read it recently and I absolutely loved it. I would try to describe it, but I don’t think anything I could say would do it justice. It is feminine and gritty and earthy and the writing is beautiful. I highly recommend it.
