Crochet Guild of America (CGOA)

I joined the CGOA today! I’ve been wanting to do so for a while now, but have been putting it off. What finally inspired me to cross this off my to-do list was a 6-issue lot of Crochet! magazines I won on eBay. (And what a steal at $9.00 for the whole lot!) I received them only yesterday, but I already see so many things I can learn.

CGOA membership includes a subscription to Crochet! magazine as well as CGOA’s newsletter, Chain Link. I’m so glad I joined! I already feel like more a part of the crochet community.

AND now that you’re published (CONGRATS, CONGRATS!!), if you haven’t already, you can upgrade your CGOA membership at NO additional charge to become an Associate Professional Member … just think, getting a mentor to help you reach your goals, AND having access to “chat” with other published designers, publishers & such. :D

CGOA has worked to get the organization moving forward.

I jumper-in-the-pool Oct 2003.

The Message Board moving to delphi-prospero seemd to garner more traffic.

Managed to attend my first Chain Link this past July in Manchester, NH.

Oakland is tempting but iffy unfortunately. … sigh …

Thanks, BklynVonne! Don’t think I’ll make it to the National Conference. The Southeast Regional in Atlanta is much closer to me, but I can’t justify the expense.

I got an invitation to join a couple of weeks ago. Must have been something I signed up for. Rick is sending it in with the bills, I think. I DID NOT know you get a free subscription to Crochet! which I was just about to sign up for. That’ll teach me to read the small print! lol :o)
