He’s still all snug in my belly and, personally, I don’t expect him until around the 14th or so. Partly because that’s what the initial sonogram predicted (although they wouldn’t change the official due date from the one calculated by the calendar) and partly because I think I just know better. ;-) I’ll be sure to post as soon as I can when the big event happens!

Thank you all for your kind comments and interest in me and the baby. I feel so loved! But, both in person and online, I can sometimes be terrible about keeping in touch. *hangs head in shame* I’m sad for not yet having responded to each of you individually. Last-minute baby preparations are keeping me much too busy!

My husband was very sweet and patient this morning. I’d requested a photo shoot; some pictures of us (for our Christmas card) and some of myself (for posterity). Wouldn’t you know it turned out to be the windiest day ever? A bit on the cloudy side, too, but we did it anyway. (Who knows when the little guy will decide to pop out, ya know?) We went downtown for the scenery. It was insanely windy near the water but I was happy with the results anyway.

39 weeks

Really, I could use another month or so to prepare, but it’s not up to me now. I guess he’ll be here when he’s ready!

Belly Update

Time is passing so quickly and I have so much to do, yikes! But I thought I would post a quick photo from the weekend before last. We had friends visiting from Georgia and took them to the beach.

Here I’m with my Golden Retriever, who will, of course, always be my little girl. I wonder if she knows our lives are about to change!
