After fighting this sleeve for several days, I’m now relatively comfortable with working the pattern repeat on the new stitches as I increase. But it looked like the sleeve was getting too wide too soon. So I compared it to one of my store-bought sweaters of similar weight that fits me well. The sleeve I’m making was fine for about the first seven inches, but then it quickly started getting too wide.
After I rip out the too-wide part, I’ll keep the good-fitting sweater by my side as a guide to see when I should increase.
(1) Unfinished sleeve (right side out), (2) unfinished sleeve folded (right side out), (3) unfinished sleeve with good-fitting sweater laid on top for comparison (both are inside out).
