High Fiber Food

You may have seen this before, but Christine just sent me the link, Strathaven folk knit themselves a room, and I had to share.

At the Strathaven Nursing Home in Australia, the residents have recreated an entire 50s-style room with amazing crocheted and knit food and accessories. The article starts out saying it’s all knit and later mentions crochet once, but even a glance at the photos will tell you quite a bit of it is crocheted.

It’s uplifting to see the creative spirit sparked in a place that can often be disheartening.

It does look good enough to eat! Only yarn obsessed people would say such a thing, I know. What a cool link.

That is so cool! I hadn’t seen it before so thx for posting the link. Now I want to know how to make some of those delightful creations myself!

That’s so neat. I did notice that many of the items were crocheted in spite of what the article stated.
