This gorgeous thing arrived in my mailbox yesterday from the gracious and generous Vera. It’s not my prize from her contest. This hook was already on its way to me before that. It was sheer coincidence that I was the only one to correctly answer the contest question as well.
Anyhow, I had been telling Vera how much I adore the plastic Skacel crochet hooks and was pondering where I would be able to get more because my LYS does not carry them. A trip to the Big City where I bought my first one years ago would be in order because I haven’t seen them anywhere online. Then Vera said her LYS carries them–even some sparkly ones! Of course, I was drooling and trying to figure out how to finagle a trip to Vera’s LYS. It is only a state away after all. *grin* Well, (I am going on aren’t I?) Vera said she just so happened to have two sparkly N hooks and would send me one. Now, I ask you, is that not the sweetest?

I’m glad that my LYS does listen to crocheters too.

It’s so purdy and shiny. Maybe not for outdoor use, the sun glare off the sparkles could blind you!

OOOOOOOOO!!!! Love that giftie crochet hook! Now I gotta have me one! You’re right, they are NOWHERE on the internet, but I’m gonna keep lookin’….that Vera is a sweetie and I love your blog…check in almost daily…very inspiring…

That’s really cool – obviously I’ve never seen a sparkly crochet hook. ;) Very cool!!
