You will not be seeing any of those sparkly crochet hooks on the web. It is beyond my understanding, but I guess Skacel just doesn’t have much interest in selling them. Perhaps they want certain products to remain exclusive… available in fine yarn shops only, if you know what I mean. Here is the e-mail I received today.

:-: I don’t have a problem giving my business to the smaller yarn shops and can understand why Skacel may want to help them in that regard. I just don’t have a choice, not having an LYS in my area. Big meanies! ;)

Hmmm-this explains why I could not find them anywhere…and I looked!!! So if they do not plan to sell online-then where can folks get them if they have NO shop nearby to buy them from?
Just a question. Thanks for the update on this…guess I will continue crocheting with my plain ole, plain ole hooks. Sigh

If my LYS had them, I would indeed be buying them up. But, as you said, there are many, many people who either don’t have an LYS or who have an LYS that does not carry these hooks or *eek!* does not even carry crochet supplies at all!

Oh, I had no intention to tease! :D I seriously would have set up shop to sell them here on my web site if they’d have let me. *sigh* I’m not sure if e-mailing would do much good, but you could try. The only contact info they give on their site is for retailers who would like wholesale information. *sigh again*

Oh, that’s too bad. It would be awesome to have one, but all the LYS around here are geared toward knitting and don’t have any crochet hooks to speak of (let alone a glittery one). *sigh* I suppose I will just have to admire yours from afar, LOL!

Yay for getting one of those sparkly hooks!
I want one so badly, but so far have had zero luck finding one.
One bad thing about living in Montana, there is no such thing as a LYS. :(
Maybe I should move! ;)
