Winter is on its way

Cooler weather is here and I’m having wonderful thoughts of warm, cozy things. Felting (I know, I know, it’s properly called fulling, but felting sounds so much nicer) has been on my mind, so I dug up this cryptic felted crochet button I made a few months ago. Feel free to steal it!

Speaking of felting, last week I was very happy to receive a wonderful surprise package from Lynette and Monica. What sweeties they are! I truly appreciate both of these lovely gifts.

Two more views of the bag (and, if you look closely, the bracelet, too!). I adore the button closure!

Thank you very much, Lynette and Monica, for such fabulous gifts!

My husband, Golden Retriever, and I are headed out for an off-season (that’s when we like it best) weekend at the beach, so if you contact me and don’t hear back until Monday or so, that’s why. ;-)

I just found your site by Googleing “Selling free crochet patterns on ebay copyright.” I was just browsing on ebay and saw one seller selling lots of stuff from groovy crochet! I wanted to find a place to report it, but oh well. Thanks for giving us a place to discuss it and how wrong it is. We should start up a neighborhood watch type group that finds these copyright violators and everyone in the group emails them, voiceing their displeasure.

I just read your ebay post. I saw the same thing– I was looking for a (knit) poncho pattern. Before looking at ebay, I did an exhaustive search of the free patterns available. So imagine my surprise, when I found several of the free patterns for sale on ebay (all from the same person). I notified two the people who I “knew” through their blogs, and they got the patterns removed from ebay. But I was disgusted that someone would do this! (I wrote a couple nasty letters to the seller, and she insisted that she had bought the patterns from someone in Australia.)

    People!

The bag and bracelet are perfect! Kind of neat to make two ‘matching’ things! I agree with how beautiful that button looks…really adds to the look of the bag. Do you have a pic of your Golden Retriever anywhere on your site? I’d love to see it because I have fallen in love with the goldens! I have a 10 1/2 wk golden pup! I can tell she is going to be just a great dog!
